Members of the Glenwood Prison Ministry would like to invite you to take part in encouraging our brother’s in Christ who are incarcerated at the Powledge Unit and the Coeffield Unit located about 15 miles west of Palestine. At this time Dee Kingsbury, Chester Amidon and Jim LaRue take turns going to these two prison units to help facilitate worship services for the inmates who wish to take part in Church of Christ worship services. The Glenwood ministry has the opportunity to facilitate services at the Powledge Unit on the 1st and 4th Sunday’s of each month and at the Coeffield Unit once every 3 months. The Christians in these facilities are extremely grateful for our presence in these services since TDC will not allow them to worship unless an outside volunteer representing the church is present. We believe that you will be extremely impressed with the love and enthusiasm that the men in these facilities have for God and for the opportunity to worship Him. If you are interested in visiting either of these prisons please contact either Dee Kingsbury, Chester Amidon or Jim LaRue for details about how to receive clearance for entering these prisons and sharing your love for Christ with these men.
