Our Vacation Bible School has been set for July 11-13, 2011. It will go from 6:30 to 8:30 pm Monday thru Wednesday. This year’s VBS is called “The Alpha Project”. Alpha is the first letter of the Greek alphabet which also means “start or beginning.”
Through hands-on activities that draw on children’s innate curiosity about science, The Alpha Project will teach children about the seven days of creation.
Not only will the lessons teach children the events of each creation day, but also what creation reveals about God. As we learn more about Him through His creation, children have the opportunity to enter into a deeper relationship with Him.
Each night the children will rotate thru two “Alpha Labs”. These labs will do experiments that reinforce God’s creation. Children love being about to touch so this year’s VBS will give them the hands on opportunity to actually witness, in a unique way, God’s creation.

EEM is asking Churches of Christ nationwide to collectively raise a million dollars on October 31. If you can only provide $4 for one student or $940 for one school–or much more–all of us participating together will bring a great harvest.

A new class will be offered this fall called “Glenwood Membership Matters”. Each week, this class will allow an attendee to meet the elders, staff, and ministry leaders of Glenwood, who will discuss their roles and specific works within their respective ministries, along with presenting Glenwood’s core values and providing basic biblical doctrinal principles and instruction.
One key goal of the class is to assist attendees in identifying their spiritual gifts and work interests. This will be a 13 week class that begins this fall. A sign-up sheet for this class will be available in the Foyer in front of the Worship Center.
For more information, please contact Tommy Gilbreath, Dewayne Manning, or Chris Neel.
